Success at FBW 2015

Ïã¸ÛÍõÖÐÍõ×î¿ì¿ª½±½á¹û Business Week 2015 has been hailed a success for the ninth year running, with events and workshops attended by more than 2,000 delegates proving that Ïã¸ÛÍõÖÐÍõ×î¿ì¿ª½±½á¹û is an established place to do business. Highlights this year included the official opening by Rt. Hon. Lord Jones, President of Ïã¸ÛÍõÖÐÍõ×î¿ì¿ª½±½á¹û Business Week, at the Regional Business Exhibition in Coleg Cambria, sponsored by Westbridge Furniture Designs. The business exhibition was the largest of its kind in North Wales with 62 stands showcasing companies and services from across the region. Workshops and seminars covered social media and marketing with more than 200 people attending the Merseyside Dee Alliance Innovation Breakfast. The Regional Prospects for Growth seminars on Wednesday at Springfield Hotel, Holywell included speakers from North Wales Prison Project; Northern Gateway and Construction Industry Training Board and on Thursday at the National and Regional Economy Day at St. David’s DeVere Hotel, Ewloe, presenters included Deliotte, Grant Thornton and Barclays Bank. On Friday, AM’s and MP’s arrived in Ïã¸ÛÍõÖÐÍõ×î¿ì¿ª½±½á¹û for Question Time, organised by CBI Cymru. Friday also saw the official launch of the Ïã¸ÛÍõÖÐÍõ×î¿ì¿ª½±½á¹û Tourism Ambassador Scheme, part of the wider North East Wales scheme, following a successful event in association with Pro PPC at Northop Country House Hotel. FBW 2015 ended with the ever popular Ïã¸ÛÍõÖÐÍõ×î¿ì¿ª½±½á¹û Business Awards which took place at Soughton Hall on Friday 23 October. This year’s Ïã¸ÛÍõÖÐÍõ×î¿ì¿ª½±½á¹û Business Week was held in association with AGS Security Systems, Westbridge Furniture Designs, along with many other partners and sponsors. Councillor Derek Butler, Cabinet Member for Economic Development said: “Ïã¸ÛÍõÖÐÍõ×î¿ì¿ª½±½á¹û Business Week has once again brought hundreds of businesses together with the unique and successful partnership between the public and private sector.
